Customer Service/Key operators focus on production using high-speed copiers, but must also be able to perform some of the duties of the front counter sales employees, delivery driver and manager trainee when necessary. Key operators should also be skilled in basic copier maintenance and be able to maintain an adequate inventory of supplies. Press Operators - Quik Print currently uses AB Dick 9810s and 9910s with and without T-Heads, Itek/AB Dick two color twin towers, Ryobi 524 4-Color Press with perfecting capabilities and Itek Perfectors. Operators must be proficient in single color printing and multi-color close registration projects using Polyester CTP plates. Operators are required to keep their work areas neat and organized. They also must perform basic maintenance on their equipment and keep management informed of potential mechanical problems. Quik Print press operators must be able to work within a fast paced organized system that fosters pride and accomplishments. Account Representatives are responsible for generating growth through finding and developing new accounts as well as servicing existing key accounts. Common activities include cold calls, scheduling appointments, sales presentations, quotes, soliciting and submitting contracts, project coordination, and strengthening customer relations. Each sales person works in a specified territory and is expected to meet reasonable minimum new sales goals as well as overall increase in sales. Graphics/Pre-Press- Digital production of documents on a Mac or PC platform using some or all of the current versions of the following programs: Quark Xpress, Publisher, Pagemaker, InDesign, Illustrator, Freehand and Photoshop. Should have experience in preflighting supplied files, electronic trapping, scanning and troubleshooting. Responsible for maintaining system performance as well as backing up files and systems. Bindery/Finishing - Each Quik Print production facility has a full bindery department which includes folders, cutters, multibinders, collators, slitters, shrink tunnels, drills, power GBC punches, laminators, numbering units, etc. Bindery employees should be proficient in most of our equipment and able to learn any new equipment.
